Prolific Young Striker Lands Deal as First Team Chance Edges Closer

West Ham may be suffering on the pitch this season, but there’s at least one forward making all the right moves – and he’s just committed his future to the club.

Talented teenager Josh Landers has signed a new deal at West Ham United, keeping him in claret and blue until the summer of 2028. The Scottish youth international has been on fire since arriving from Hibernian, and this new contract is a clear signal that the club sees big things ahead.

Let’s be honest – with the first-team frontline flatter than a pint of warm lager and no real number nine of any merit, Landers must be close to getting a look-in. The 18-year-old has already scored over ten goals this season across club and country, including a 25-minute hat-trick against Brighton’s U21s.

He’s already impressed at every level, helping our U18s lift the Premier League Cup before making the step up to the U21s where he hasn’t missed a beat.

Speaking after signing, Landers said: “It’s what you dream of – to settle in quickly and then earn a new deal. Now I’ve got to keep scoring and be ready if the chance comes.”

Academy boss Kenny Brown didn’t hold back with his praise either: “Josh has been a goal threat from day one. Centre-forwards like him are hard to find – he’s got presence, work rate, and most importantly, he scores goals.”

With first-team manager Nuno Espirito Santo short on fit and firing attackers, Landers’ relentless form might just open a very exciting door in east London.
