Tony Pulis may make a summer bid for Carlton Cole after the striker’s move to West Brom failed to materialise on Deadline Day.
West Ham were forced to keep Cole when a move for Emmanuel Adebayor collapsed and the Hammers loyalist could now line-up against the Baggies in the fifth round of the FA Cup tomorrow.
Pulis said: “We thought it was going to be done, as West Ham did at one stage. It was no fault of West Ham’s whatsoever. June or July is a long way off… we’ll see what happens.”
Pulis admits Cole’s physicality would have increased his options saying: “We wanted four forwards. I’ve always thought he was a good player to have in your group. He gives you different options and on his day he is a handful.
“His goalscoring record when he plays is decent. He is different to what we have.”
Stop it Hugh!
You are still teasing me!
Despite having already stating that although the dummy spitter at the head of the spuds preventing us signing his problem child ,I was still more than happy (ecstatic!) for the baggies to sign Cole, my option hasn’t changed! Despite the latest injury to carroll.
And if you are still unsure about cole’s suitability as a premier league striker then just watch his latest inept performance against Southampton to see why!
Gutted for the big man(AC) but that’s no reason to not cull the dead wood that continues to drag us down! COYI!
Good comments Plitheriron.I hope Cole goes at season’s end and the other championship standard players on the list as well.
Goal scoring record is decent? Is Tony on drugs?
