Pundit predicts West Ham festive cheer

BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted West Ham festive cheer with back to back away wins for the Hammers. He predicts the Irons with coming away from Selhurst Park on Boxing day as the 2-1 victors.

Lawro told his BBC website readers “The last time these teams met, Crystal Palace snatched a late winner at the London Stadium at the start of October, to nick a victory that spelt the end of West Ham’s good start to the season. I am expecting this game to be just as close but this time I am going for the Hammers to edge it. Palace have got a lot of defensive injuries and they could catch up with them here.”

Claret and Hugh say:

While Lawro’s predictions are often a kiss of death for the Hammers, I make him right that this will be close London derby that will be decided by a narrow margin. If the manager sticks with a winning team minus the forced changes West Ham can win again relieving more pressure on Manuel Pellegrini.  We are happy to back Lawro’s 2-1 away win predicts this time. Just don’t let us down Lawro!

  1. He is usually so anti West Ham I wonder if he has been on it early
    But happy to take 1/2

  2. His luck is bound to change sometime.

  3. If Roberto is in goal we will worrying too much at the back . So we shall need a three goal cushion .. big ask if Pelligrini doesn’t stick to a winning formula , namely 442 or similarly 352
