Pundit tips huge PL rival to thrive at Hammers if he signs

Pundit Carlton Palmer believes that Dele Alli would be a huge player for West Ham if he does actually join the club in the January transfer window.

The Irons have been linked with a shock swoop to sign the Spurs ace in this transfer window after he fell out of favour under the management of both Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.

He has made just eight starts in the Premier League this season and Dele is said to be seen as a potential alternative to Jesse Lingard in January.

A deal is, of course, unlikely, just because of the sheer amount of hatred that exists between the two clubs but Palmer believes he would thrive if he were to make the move across London this month.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, the ex-England star said: “Could David Moyes get the best out of him? I’m sure he could do.”

We’re going to say here that it’s very, very unlikely that Dele does end up in a West Ham shirt but Palmer is still probably right that Moyes could bring the best out of him.
