Pundits agree with West Ham Winning Way

|

All three football pundits agree this weekend  believing that West Ham will beat Crystal Palace this Saturday afternoon to rise to a 53 point total and potentially leap frog above Manchester City into fourth place for a chance of Champions league football.

MarkLawrenson1BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson

“Crystal Palace’s long wait for a league win this year continues and, while it does, they are getting dragged closer to the relegation scrap that is happening below them.

They will win somewhere – even Aston Villa have won away from home once this season – but I don’t see it happening this weekend, because West Ham have been so good at Upton Park.

After losing their first two home Premier League games of the season, the Hammers have been unbeaten there since August. I am backing them to make it four home league wins in a row on Saturday.”

Lawro’s prediction: 2-1

Lawro’s guest predictor was Jim Glennies of indie band  I thought West Ham would crumble but it is not going to happen now. They deserve to be up there and I think they might knock Manchester City out of one of the Champions League spots. 2-0

Paul-Merson-Headshot_3190859Sky Sports Pundit Paul Merson

“West Ham are flying at the moment and Palace are on a slippery slope. I think the Hammers will win and move above Man City in the table.

Palace are seven points above the bottom three but they are not out of trouble. They just can’t win at the moment and if they lose this then they will be looking nervously over their shoulders.”PAUL PREDICTS: 3-1

owenFormer Manchester United and Liverpool striker Michael Owen has also given his predictions on Betvictor.com agreeing that West Ham will win against Crystal Palace this weekend.

“A Wembley semi-final on the horizon but the Eagles are the only side in the top four tiers of English football without a win in their respective division in 2016,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com. “They remain a talented unit, however, and are a match for anyone on their day.

“The last three PL games between the sides has finished in a 3-1 win to the away side but I expect the Irons to maintain their challenge for a Champions League spot with a home win.”

“Michael’s recommendation: West Ham to win at Evens.”

OWEN PREDICTS: WEST HAM WIN
