Pundits predict a draw…CandH says something different

                         Paqueta rapidly improving

By Hughie Southon

Both Chris Sutton and Mark Lawrenson are predicting a draw between us and the Blues tomorrow.

That seems pretty predictable from both of them given the Hammers are improving over recent games and Chelsea are not in the best of form over recent clashes.

So Claret and Hugh – hopefully without putting the kiss of death on things – is going to be a little braver and go for a Hammers win at the London Stadium.

After the injustice of the result in west London earlier in the season that would be the correct result where we were worth at least a point and, given the injustice of the VAT disallowed goal, two seems justified this time around!

The performance at Newcastle would have surprised many and but for the usual slow start might have been even better where, despite injuries, we performed at times with excellence at times.

Nayef Aguerd at central defence is becoming a rock and with Oggy alongside we may well be ok through there while up front Jarrod and Micky are looking decent whilst midfield with Dec looking good and Paqueta improving quickly. is looking after itself.

Should we perform to Newcastle levels I’m looking for our goals scenario to improve as well and expect Jarrod and Mikey to again be on the score sheet.

Prediction Irons 2 Chelsea 0

  1. That’s a brave prediction, Hugh! If we win, and let’s hope we do, then I can’t see there being more than one goal difference. I’m not as brave as you, so I’m going a 2-2 draw.

But I’m hoping that you know more than me!
