Pure Hypocrisy as Moyes Flirts For Dyche Job

A lot of mud was thrown at West Ham by the mainstream media over the treatment of David Moyes while he remained the Hammers’ manager.

The general consensus seemed to be that it was disrespectful to discuss his replacement when Moyes was still in charge.

Former Sky presenter Richard Keys labelled West Ham’s director of football, Tim Steidten, a “sneaky weasel,” whilst the likes of Sam Allardyce, Alan Shearer, and Paul Merson condescendingly criticised the Irons’ hierarchy for their lack of class.

However, in a startling display of double standards, Moyes is scheduled to appear on an Everton fan podcast while Sean Dyche remains firmly in charge at Goodison Park. I had to do a double take, such was the blatant audacity of the Scotsman to flirt so brazenly with Everton.

He is set to appear on the Royal Blue Podcast, with an episode titled “Goodison Park: My Home.”

Moyes is set to heap more pressure on Dyche by appearing in an Everton podcast

I’m unsure if there’s any sort of unofficial managers’ etiquette, but if there is, Moyes would certainly be in massive breach of it.

Ordinarily, I wouldn’t concern myself with matters at other clubs. However, West Ham fans were subjected to heavy national criticism for allegedly disrespecting Moyes. So to see the former Hammers manager blatantly angling for the Everton job, knowing how much pressure Dyche is under, is an incredible contradiction.

The moral compass has been set by outlets like Sky Sports and talkSPORT. If they are fair and balanced in their reporting, they will be just as critical of the disrespect shown to Sean Dyche as they were in defending David Moyes.

But I think we all know what’s likely to happen.

The crazy thing is that we had to look for a new manager before he left because he had refused the contract offered and was going. To be fair though I didn’t hear Moyes complain about this, so it’s not hypocrisy on his part

Would love to see Moyes get the gig at Everton, they have flirted with relegation for far too long and to see them finally go down to the Championship would be lovely to see with Moyes steering them there with his dull, negative anti-football way.
Really can’t stand Moyes and I’m sick of all those people that say ‘but he won you a trophy’,jog on,his football was shocking to watch and he left the club and the squad in a terrible state hence the massive rebuild.
So good luck to yer Moyes hope you get the Everton job

Hi I am an Evertonian & STH, I would not want Moyes back. He done great for us while he was here but I don’t want to go back, he very much divides opinion here is as well. Just a cple of other things:

“Goodison Park: My Home.”: is a series of interviews with ex players, managers etc.. not just a single one for DM. It started as a part of us leaving Goodison Park.

He also let 2 of his contracts run down with us, first one he re-signed, second one he left us for free to join man u.

oh and I agree with the double standards in the media, but that is the world we live in now.

I’m sure managers have soft spots for all of the clubs they have been involved with as I’m sure David Moyes does for both Everton and West Ham. I don’t see any harm in him chatting about his time at EFC. Especially at the time when the club are set to leave Goodson Park.

Well said Richard, It’s typical Gonzo cast dispersion and not finding out any real facts, which plays into his agenda of assuming what he wants and then writing what he wants without any kind of justification. May e take a minute and follow Martin T’s example. It’s just another Gonzo article so he can rant about his hatred for Moyes – let it go chap! Oh and so he is able to post some clickbait. Has he even bothered to contact the guys doing the pod cast to see what it’s all about. U lot at C&H are just soooo off the rails and a lore unto yourselves at time -this place is gossip and speculation central. Maybe Moyes is doing it because he has heard about u labelling J-Lo as the Paella Moyes and he is looking for a way to reply and ask for his old job back at West Ham. Gonzo likes to think he has his finger on the pulse and that his reasoning makes sense, and it probably does but only to him. Take a chill pill Gonzo and back off the rubbish u keep posting, ever heard of less is more….but I bet that doesn’t help with clicks now does it?

What concerns me most is you stating that Sky Sport and Talksport set the “the moral compass”, they’d need a compass to find the moral compass never mind setting it!

I can’t think of too many organisations associated with football who would know what a “moral” is, even if it got up and slapped them with a wet fish. Football is a corrupted business model with no morals or standards worth the name..

  • Declan says:

As an Everton fan I wouldn’t want Moyes back. He burned way too many bridges. But you are right, angling for Dyche’s job while he’s still in situ is classless.

  • Andy Stone says:

On the bright side Moyes gets the Everton manager job and pays too much for Soucek. At 29 years old that would be perfect for us and so much like David Moyes.

  • Francis Galea says:

Moyes is prostituting himself. Good luck Everton.
