David Moyes admits that teams simply have to keep chipping away in the hope that they can take three points away from Liverpool!
The two sides meet this weekend in a huge game in the top four race.
The Irons are currently in the top four and they could leapfrog the Reds if they win and other results go their way this weekend.
Moyes has had a number of meetings against the Reds throughout his career, having also managed Everton and Manchester United throughout his career,
And he admits that Liverpool have had excellent teams in the past, when the likes of Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard were in the same side, and he hopes to put another chip in the wall on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters, he said: “I’m not going to be able to name all their team but when they had Alonso and Mascherano, Dirk Kuyt, Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard, Sami Hyypia and Jamie Carragher at the back, Reina in goal, they had some team.
“This is why, over the years, to beat Liverpool has always been so tough, because of the quality of the players in the teams they have had. So all you can do is keep chipping away. We have got another chance this weekend to have another chip and see if we can do something.”
