Puzzling Moyes policy needs to end

|

Mubama included in tonight’s squad

David Moyes has included Maxwel Cornet and Divin Mubama in his squad for tonight’s UEFA Europa League Group A clash with Olympiacos this evening.

Yes, he has been injured but like others before him under Moyes he has had little or no chance to show what he has got since recovering and is already being suggested as one who could be on his way as a result. He has made just three appearances this season so far.

Nikola Vlasic was the last to suffer that fate having been bought for £25 million and sold for £10 million which – lets be frank – is dreadful business.

Cornet looking for a chance to prove the £17 million transfer was worthwhile

To buy a player for that sort of dough and sell him or not use him at all is one of the most puzzling aspects of this manager’s approach to things.

At the other end of the discussion is the manager’s near refusal to give youngsters a real opportunity to show their worth in any real sense.
