Eagle-eyed KUMB readers spotted a Rolls-Royce with Middle Eastern connections at the London Stadium on Saturday, parked in the Chairman’s parking place.
As a KUMB post correctly pointed out, the Swiss registered is owned by Qatari billionaire Ali Hussain Alfardan, Vice Chair of the Alfardan Corporation and President of Alfardan Jewellery, with a Net worth of around £4bn.
This prompted speculation that the owner might be a new investor for West Ham or might even be considering a takeover.
However, the truth is a little more mundane; the Alfaedans are personal friends of West Ham Chairman David Sullivan. They have been to many West Ham games as his personal guest in the directors’ box, but this is the first time in that particular vehicle.
Sullivan has two car park spaces at the London Stadium and often lends one out on game day to his guests.
Claret and Hugh have been told that the Qataris are not potential investors and just friends, and nothing more.

I’m sure they appreciate having a picture of their car registration posted on the internet.
I accidentally parked my old Ford Fiesta in that space once 😅
Home supporters? Away supporters? These are the only types allowed to enter the London Stadium. Nobody else is welcome.
Let’s get real.
