
Moyes with head of recruitment Rob Newman

David Moyes may find himself considering his own West Ham future before long should things continue to unfold as they are right now.
There has been much talk of whether the club will offer him a new deal as he progresses through the third year of his current contract but it may not be their decision.
Question marks over Moyes’ head
With Tim Steidten becoming an increasingly influential figure at the club and senior scout Mick Doherty leaving, question marks are now arising over the head of the manager’s head of Recruitment Rob Newman.
We have revealed in the past that his position is becoming increasingly uncertain and it is possible that the club could come to a what is known as a mutual agreement on his departure
Doherty is reported to be set to depart for a departure to Italy and Serie A side Atalanta, in what is likely to be a more senior position.
Rob Newman is still with the club although his power as No 2 to Moyes seems to be diminish following the new technical director’s arrival.
Moyes position becoming more fragile
Given both those situation Moyes may well see his own position becoming more fragile and make a negative decision on whether he wishes to remain at the club should he be offered a new deal.
Indeed the club – despite backing him in the summer – sat back while he decided whether or not to stay as the pressure was piled on him ahead of the Conference win!
