Quick bid for Hammers midfielder looks certain

|

It now seems inevitable that David Moyes will be forced to make a major decision on one Hammers player despite there having been no formal inquiry for him at this point.

West Brom – guided by former Hammers pair Slaven Bilic and Julian Dicks – are known to want Grady Diangana at The Hawthorns and it can’t be long before the first conversations begin on a possible switch.

Slaven look certain to go for Diangana

And their return to the Premier League  now looks certain to prompt a bid for a kid who has become something of a Baggies cult figure.

With just a few weeks available to make big decisions, the Hammers boss will not be in a position to get involved in lengthy discussions with the Slav and it’s probable a quick decision will be made one way or the other.

Initially, Grady was seen as a £12 million to £15 million player but the Covid 19 situation may well have affected that.

The youngsters has featured in 31 games for the Baggies, scoring eight goals from midfield so the Hammers boss has to decide whether he can do the job for us or whether he needs the cash for other targets.

A source close to Albion told us on the phone: “Slaven loves the guy – there’s bound to be a bid for him.”

No, we need to keep him. Sell Anderson! We are going to do most of our shopping in the Championship so he’s one we won’t have to buy. He’s fits the young player profile we are now looking to buy, and why let West Brom get a great player on the cheap.

  • The Cat says:

    The answer is simple………. NO.
We loaned Grady out to get experience……what club sells it’s BEST talent???
Sell Anderson…… I’m Happy with that!

  • The Cat says:

It was the Grady show last night and I’m not surprised… But sadly for West Brom, they will need another plan!

  • Will says:

We’d be stupid to sell him… Bowen and grady on the wings next season would be aw. awesome for West ham

  • Paul H says:

For me we have to keep him. Fornals can take over from noble in the more advanced midfielder role with Diangana taking over on the left wing. We get even more pace on the wings and even more legs in the middle. It’s win win. We have to keep him. I know we need to seek to buy but clear out the players like Anderson to give us money to improve the squad, in particular the left back spot.

The club do all they can to keep hold of Grady I was impressed before he went out on loan would rather have him in my team over and above lazy Anderson and Lanzini.
We are not going to have multi millions to spend but feel by bringing him back will save us money with the emergence of Ben Johnson and hopefully a crop of youngsters we can blend them into the team. I have faith in Moyes to get the best out of the players we have next season .

  • Daboiflip says:

If he has or wants to go id give them another season long loan not ideal but better then selling him and in the future going for millions

No way we should sell grady to the baggies david moyes says he wants hungry young players and diangana is just that

  • Eug says:

Hope we keep Grady Diangana. He looks an exceptional talent and at only 22, he is only going to get better. If we sell him for £20 million, you can bet in a couple of years the big boys will come in for £50 million plus. We need to sell Anderson. Diangana is already as good as him if not better with miles of potential and a lot more heart and desire. Can you imagine a team next year with Soucek, Bowen on one flank and Diangana on the other and hopefully a couple of young talented full back and Eberechi Eze.

  • Eug says:

Sean and Hugh should start a campaign to keep Grady Diangana. Were looking for young talented players in the Championship. Well they don’t come much younger and talented than Diangana. Why sell the exact player your looking for? As stated before, he also has the Hunger, Desire, Heart and Talent.

  • Lyonzee says:

Err sell him to release funds to buy young hungry players from the championship, emmm!
