West Ham are believed to be moving quickly to bring in Swansea midfielder Flynn Downes and it is believed that his medical is already planned with completion of the deal hoped for over the next few days.
And the club’s tie up with his agency Wasserman is likely to see more players from that camp brought to the club.
Interestingly, Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton-Diaz is also represented by the company where new coach Mark Warburton’s daughter Elisha is a client manager.
Reporting the news in his Patreon account ExWHUemployee says that when Warburton was manager at Queens Park Ranger he had a habit of signing players from the firm.
It appears on the face of it to have been a cute appointment by Moyes and it’s worth a look through the company’s client list to see the players they represent at Wasserman – Player agency – Player Agents | Transfermarkt.
It could easily be that Warburton’s arrival will see our window activity move aheadĀ more quickly than expected
His appointment was a really smart move. It’s strengthened our recruitment network massively.
I like Brereton-Diaz so hope what you report is true, it’s hard to find decent footage of Flynne Downes the highlights I see are from 3 years ago when he was at Ipswich and as a young player he has probably changed a lot since then. If you have any youtubes or showreels from his time at Swansea might be worth posting ?
Another one for the future who will never kick a ball in anger whilst Moyes is there, this one reminds me of Hugill all over again š
Down the route of using agencies as our scouting network? sigh!
Great to use it to help get downes who seems a fine player but would be extremely disappointed if we then decided to use this to sign Diaz who looks average at best over someone like broja cause of agent connections.
Slightly worrying news I would say. Not good news.
