Quiet night for Sima but shows flashes of brilliance

Abdallah Sima was in action for Slavia Prague in the Europa League on Thursday.

The Czech club played Rangers in the last-16 as they looked to repeat their shock win over Leicester.

Sima, of course, is a big target for the Hammers ahead of the summer as they look to strengthen their squad and their strike force.

Sima has scored 19 goals in all competitions this season but he could not hit the back of the net against the Scottish club as they instead drew 1-1.

Steven Gerrard’s Scottish champions fell 1-0 down to a brilliant goal from Nico Stanciu, as he slammed home an effort from the corner of the box that zipped into the top corner.

Rangers later equalised through Filip Helander, meaning they have an away goal to take back to Ibrox.

Sima was on the fringes of the game throughout, but showed flashes of his talent with a couple of excellent runs.

Other than that, this was a poor game – apologies if you watched it just for Sima!
