Jose Mourinho got his marching orders from the dug-out after storming the referee Jonathon Moss’ room at half time.
He had reacted furiously to the sending off of Matic on half time despite it being the most obvious red card most people will ever see.
The player had cynically hauled back Cheik Kouyate earlier in the half as he broke down the right side to earn a first yellow card before deciding to completely block off Dimi Payet as he threatened down the same side as half time beckoned.
It was all so obvious but it didn’t stop the Chelsea whinge brigade led by John Terry remonstrating with Moss who yellow carded Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa for dissent.
This all passed over Mourinho’s head apparently and instead of learning the lesson he instead raged into the ref’s dressing room and to quote one inside who witnessed it said: “Had a right pop – it was a proper ruck.”
Moss eventually sent him to the stands to join goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon and assistant first team coach Silvino Louas.
It may well be he Irons this afternoon ensured the Portuguese may also soon be looking for alternative employment.
We have always for as long as I can remember been a top flight team and going down for a season or two proves a point that as a big club we will always feature . The supporters who have been coming over the years in droves no matter what the result has kept this team where it is and we will always survive , the people who spout on about the hippo are IMO delusional , and clearly lacking in taste , I respect the point ( pun ) about opinions but some opinions are lacking the vision of truth ,
The hippo blatantly called all of us delusional and the mugs with no pride in themselves or the club still praise him !!! Unbelievable !!!!!
Where’s you’re pride people !!! You need to look in the mirror !!!
This club has always stabilised itself through packed rafters who watched entertaining football win or lose, hippo never was and never will be remembered as a loved and respected hammer,
Cop that ear hole again Sam, some people think it meant we were singing his praise ?????
Mugs !!!
Your Welcome Kansas, don’t worry about the banter it comes and goes and we need new blood to keep all views covered,
Good to see you back Kev but no BFS comments Really
Still no Matte
Morning(afternoon), everyone, first time leaving a comment, on here mostly every day, thought i had to comment, about the armchair comment, i guess that makes me one, even though, ive paid my dues, first game march 73, 1-3 win against palace, and after 100’s of games, i think ive earnt to right to comment, if thats ok sam, im a lonely hammer, out here in the middle of no where, and i love this site, i watch every game, and came home recently for the bournemouth game, but this is the most optimistic i have felt for many a year, great result yesterday, thanks, COYI
New to this site, but read it everyday. Lifelong Hanmers fan since the 70’s. Get to Upton Park when I can afford it! Listened to the match on the radio yesterday. Just amazing. My main comment? Sod the top four as a goal, WE’RE GONNA WIIN THE LEAGUE! COYI!!!
Don’t count your chickenrunner?? Excuse the punn. ?? we will be up there somewhere though.
Wasnt even talking to you Kevin!!!
Nothing wrong with having oppinions .. Or is the opinion that Salven is our best manager since JL also worthy of criticism .
Haha,it always cracks me up when people speak of Allardyce like he was the only man capable of bringing us out of the championship. We went up through the back door & he finished below teams managed by BrianMcDermott & Nigel Adkins(Who & where are they now),haha.Wow,when will this blowing smoke rings up Allardyces arse stop for some.
All very well telling others to let it go with regards to castigating Allardyce but how about some of you stop with the sycophantic love in of Allardyce!!
Beating Chelsea at home was a distinctive moment in this clubs history . We are maintaining our top six status and it is starting to look like the Christmas decorations will be staying up well into the new year . Seeing Mourinho and his band of not-so-merry moaners losing the plot is pure heaven .
Slaven is slowly but surely turning into the best manager this club has had since John Llyal.
True BFS got us back into the premiership , so maybe it’s time to stop hammering him .
With Bilic we are seeing a very different West Ham and teams are becoming aware of the very real threat we pose . ….. Am I dreaming of Europe ? , well yes because at the moment we look like we could actually get there . Great to see Andy Carroll back .
Yes where is Matte
Just another expat with arm chair fever,
Could not care where I sit although right this minute it’s in the country of my birth because I came home for a month but tried very hard to get seats for my wife and myself and there was only 1 home game and it was sold out today,
Spent the whole day with 4 Chelski fans ( family ) best family day of my life,
But Sam fans can insult me as much as they like,
They have got to be the saddest so called fans alive,
Can’t even enjoy one of the best days of this clubs lives
Long Live SLAV
Where is Matte these days?
Silly comment Sam. Neither you nor anyone else has the faintest idea where we would have been without Sam. Some other manager might have done wonders. We just don’t know.
Sensible comment Michael. Sam is history, time to forget him.
Just a little aside. We have played ten matches so far and four of them would have been written off just a year ago and we would most likely have been patting ourselves on the back if we had got a dozen points from the rest
Johnboy. What a load of ill informed rubbish your spouting. It took us two years to come back up under Pardew and two years after our 89 relegation. Get your facts right before you make silly kneejerk statements. BFS did stabilise the club, fact. The football was sometimes dire, Fact. He served a purpose and this glorious period we are now witnessing under Bilic would not be possible were it not for him. Not profitable or popular to state on this site but also a big fat fact!! Move on for God’s sake and enjoy the present without living in a bitter past.
Typical, fantastic result, fantastic day to be an Iron & still someone has to come on to sing hippos praises & kiss his butt.Unbelievable.
Let’s get this cleared up once and for all !!!
The fat turd did nothing for this club , every time we have been relegated we have come straight back up who ever was the manager !!!
Why don’t all you Muppet hippo lovers fuc£ off up to Sunderland with the overrated turd!
You ain’t west ham supporters you refuse to see the truth even when its in front of you.!!!
Bang on bubs about the hippo !!!!
All I can say is all the hippo lovers do not know west ham like us OLD school supporters !!
Hippo never was and never will be class !!! The day this clown took the reigns was the sadest day of my life !!!!
If you want proof its in the pudding!!!!!!
Yes John spot on?? I’ve been a hammer since 1963 and alldyce has been the worst one and you realise that I’ve seen a few!! Billic is the best ?? Since ron greenwood.FACT.
Let’s forget about BFS – he’s history – let’s celebrate a brilliant win!
The noise when Andy Carroll scored was the loudest I’ve ever heard at Upton Park – it was fantastic – we played like the away team, giving Chelsea plenty of possession but being compact and disciplined and hitting them with pacy breakaways – it was perfect.
There’s something serious amiss with Chelsea, they were a shadow of last years team – but bugger them, it was West Ham’s day – two brilliant goals and no arguments about being good value for the win!
Haha, brilliant game bubs, the ground was banging.Reminded me of how it used to feel like again.Must admit i had a few too many sherbets on the way home.Pubs kept jumping out in front ont of me & dragging me through their doors, haha.
Never ever say I told you so,
Today was the day we became every teams nightmare opposition,
Today was the day Big Head wished the old Victorians were back holding on to a draw,
Today was the day the officials acted like officials and told the people who think they are bigger then the game to grow up,
I wish B F S was back to keep us in the Premier
Certain people owe the fans of this club an apology
We’re our you Hippo fans grow a pair and admit for the first time
YOU WERE WRONG
Calm down Babs. We wouldn’t be where are are today if Fatty hadn’t have saved the club when it was in pieces after Grant tore the club apart. Fatty was needed and he did what was required. It wasn’t pretty but he built us back up. Stop trying to score points over attending fans just because they have different opinions to yours. They suffered the dreary games while you sat in your chair abroad. He’s gone – move on.
Bubs was probably going to games before you were even born sad lad.You have played the abroad card before. Its lame.
Maybe the Fatman picked up a few tricks to use in his game today. Haha
