Rapid three points looks on for Irons

West Ham SHOULD enjoy a comfortable passage past Rapid Vienna at the London Stadium tomorrow evening and on the face of it our non Premier League side should be sufficiently strong to take our Europa points tally to six.

Beaten 3-0 at home by leaders Sturm Graz on Sunday, Rapid are currently second off bottom of a league which is probably closer to the Championship than PL.

They have eight points from nine games having won two and drawn two in their league so far.

Before anybody goes jumping on my back note that I have carefully used the word SHOULD in my assessment and one player i hope gets a run out is Arthur Masuaku.

This looks a real opportunity to give the guy a start and I believe if we play three at the back – Zouma, Diop, and Dawson it may be one  in which we can play him as a wing back!

Elsewhere I’d expect to see Alex Kral; and Nikola Vlasic involved with Jarrod Bowen again leading the line saving Mickey for Brentford on Sunday.

My team: Areola, Zouma, Diop, Dawson; Johnson, Kral, Rice, Masuaku; Lanzini, Vlasic, Bowen.

  1. Should- if – but-maybe- suggest we wait and see.

  2. Well I sure hope the team take the match seriously as I’m sure they will. There is no room for complacency to my mind.
