Rare squad chance for Irons veteran

Irons veteran Mark Noble may have the opportunity of making a rare appearance in the squad for Sheffield United this weekend with Andriy Yarmolenko unavailable having tested positive for Covic 19.

The captain has been injured according to information given by the manager over the last couple of games so it will be interesting to see whether he is fit and ready for inclusion at Brammal Lane.

Moyes had declared there was plenty of football left in the captain three or four weeks ago so this may be an opportunity to bring him back into the frame.

The other selection decisions he has to make is whether to give Said Benrahma his first start in claret and blue and whether Issa Diop may come in at the back given the air miles Fabian Balbuena has had to put in following international duty with Paraguay.

The other internationals have returned injury free and we would imagine – given recent results – this is the line up we would could see: Fabianski, Coufal, Diop, Oggy, Cress; Dec, Soucek, Bowen, Masuaku, Fornals, Haller. BENCH; Randolph, Fredericks, Balbuena, Noble, Lanzini, Benrahma, Antonio.

  1. Good guy to have around for games like Sheffield United. Experience can be key when taking on teams of this ilk. Steady the boys, Mark. But don’t hold them back or curb their enthusiasm.
