Ratings 2 reflect a shocking display

CandH’s No 1 ratings man hands out his marksĀ

Fabianski: Kept us in the game when truth told Everton should have won it by many more 7
Zabaleta: Everton’s speed in closing down only amplified Zaba’s lack of pace 4
Cresswell: Didnt get much support from Lanzini before the break. Got less from Arnautovic and then even less from Antonio after it! 4
Diop: A little overrun to say the least 5
Ogbonna: Slightly more overrun although made some important clearances 5
Rice: The only outfield player whose technique and application went anywhere close to matching the opposition 6
Obiang: Well off the pace from the start 3
Snodgrass: The fact he lasted the 90 mins tells you how poor Perez, Obiang and Arnautovic were 4
Lanzini: Would have preferred to see him in a central role from the start. By the time he moved there the game was gone 5
Perez: Surprised to see him start. Not surprised to see him subbed at the interval 2
Arnautovic: Let there be no doubt, the boos upon his substitution were firmly aimed at Marko today 4

Subs
Hernandez: No miracles today. Half a dozen touches, lots of frustrated arm waving 2
Antonio: No impact at all, summed up by an extraordinary moment when he sprinted full tilt to avoid conceding a throw-in, and failed but had he succeeded he’d have given away a corner!!! 2
Diangana: Gave it a go, but like everyone else found two Everton players on him soon as he started to run 4

  1. Actually seems you’ve been a bit generous with these ratings….?
