Ratings Rewind – they were so poor

|

Hugh hands out his marks

Roberto Beaten at near post for first but Masuaku was just as responsible – no chance with second. Two great saves along the way 6

Fredericks: Never disgraced but no serious impact 5

Diop: Some fine blocks  on a day when Everton’s forwards were rampant 6

Ogbonna: A difficult afternoon but he did well for long stretches 6

Masuaku: Poor defending for the goal and no chance to get forward to any great effect 4

Rice: As good as any of them and better than most 6

Noble: With Everton bossing midfield the skipper was usually on the back foot 5

Anderson: Subbed at half time after failing to make anything count much  – poor 4

Fornals: Nothing worked at all for the player just a nightmare for him 3

Lanzini: Never involved, no creativity and failed to track him man at time 3

Haller: No support whatsoever – felt really sorry for him 4

Subs

Yarmolenko: Some impact on his arrival but faded 4

Wilshere: Over-run like the rest of them 3

Ajeti: Seemed a pointless substitution and so it turned out 1

Rice 6 come on ..I’ve read enough..how can you give any of them a rating over 3. Pathetic

Good ratings for most of them Hugh. But sorry to say Declan had another extremely poor performance. Have a look at his role on the 2nd goal. Haller worked very hard, and again stood out against a totally under-whelming West Ham team. Yes, Masuaku again showed why he should have been sold and never given a contract. And Ajeti, really? Why did Holland not play? These over-paid players maybe been another dose of Moyes to get them off their backsides.

Probably agree with most except Fornals 2 and Lanzini -2 not fit to wear the shirt today, cannot begin to describe how bad he was, give him a few weeks out of the matchday squad.

  • Why do players like yarmelenko have to be rested because he played for his country these players want to have a good at themselves they are on fantastic wages they don’t know what it’s like to want for anything a hard 8 to 9 hours a day would kill most of them like I did before going off to play football they live in a different world to most of us

Very generous on some of those scores.

Rice, Lanzini (again) and Formals were very, very disappointing. I might be in the minority but from what I watched in the pub Anderson was the one who moved the ball about better than everyone else. It’s all well and good having all these attacking players but if they don’t move the ball quick enough or support Haller they are completely inaffective. It reminded me today of the Bilic era when we had Zaza, a lack of creativity and the ball just kept coming back. Two up top would have been a smart change if Ajeti was Premier League ready, but he’s not! If not another forward we need to try and find someone to fill that hole behind Haller in January.

Fornals offers absolutely nothing, Lanzini isn’t the same player as in previous seasons.
Whoever thought it a good idea to offer Masuaku a new contract should resign,
It’s crunch time for pellergrini, he needs to get some results very soon or the crowd will be
On his back, we are so slow in our build up, no creativity no pace, and in some instances no desire.
Some of the players look as if they know that no matter how bad they play, they will be starting the next game.
Surely the kid Holland must get a look in for the next game, he’s on fire formthe U23s
