Ravel fury over strike allegations

 EXCLUSIVE

Ravel Morrison appears to have reacted furiously to reports that he’s ready: to strike in pursuit of a move to Fulham tweeting: “The Lies People make up.”

Whilst ClaretandHugh cannot confirm that the two issues are linked it has be said it seems pretty self evident after morning national newspaper reports that he is set to strike in pursuit of a move to Fulham!

And we have been assured by those close to him that there is no foundation in the story at all.

Indeed we were told the player remains committed to West Ham,  is back in training and set to declare himself fit for the visit of Newcastle United this weekend.

The 20 year old is currently the lowest paid first team member on £15,000 a week and is keen to tie down a long term deal with the Hammers.

The club want to hold talks – as we have regularly reported – in the summer but there is now pressure for a deal to be sorted out before the end of this month.

Ravel believes that this should be possible and it is indeed in the club’s interests as the closer we come to his out of contract date of June 2016, the less he is worth on the open market.

We understand that the player is looking for between £40k – £45k a week and is ready to sit down with club officials at any time.

And the liklihood that Fulham will return with any further bid for him have reduced considerably in the light of the Hammers deciding whether to push ahead with a tapping up complaint.
