Ravel still has a Hammers future

West Ham United are not giving up on Ravel Morrison!

There’s been a widespread view around that the 21 year old’s days at the Boleyn are now firmly numbered.

But Rav demonstrated at the weekend when scoring the goals that gave Rangers their first win in six attempts that he’s not going anywhere easily.

Sources inside the club refuse to be swayed by Paul Gascoigne comparisons as launched by St Andrew’s boss Lee Clark after his Birmingham City team had been put to the sword by the England under-21.

But there was  a very clear message coming out of Upton Park this morning that the player can still enjoy a big future at Upton Park.

A source told ClaretandHugh: “We intend to do all we can to agree the right sort of contract in the summer. The lad has enormous ability and we know his worth.

“He was a sufferer when the manager made decisions about the way forward when we were in such a difficult position earlier in the season.

But the idea that he has come to the end of his West Ham United career is some way wide of the mark.”
