“I have alluded to the fact that I’ve already got five players injured and I am not going to risk too many on Tuesday because Southampton is just round the corner,” Sam Allardyce told Sky Sports.
“If pick up injuries I weaken the team, we have enough to play an experienced team with a couple of young players, only a couple.”I can blood Sako, Valencia, get Ravel [Morrison] back, Mo Diame in there, Diego Poyet, Guy Demel and Jussi Jasskelainen. That’s the kind of side I’m going to pick with a couple of young ones in. I think that is the right thing to do for us all, think that team are capable of beating Sheffield United if they approach the game in the right manner.”

I think BS is in general right in what he is saying but I think he will be playing with fire if he fields a weakened team and things don’t quite go to plan.
In fact the roof might very well come off altogether unless there is a resounding victory, considering the feelings surrounding the two clubs.
So it will be very interesting to see what team BS picks and whether there is a place for ravel
His latest misdemeanour not withstanding ravel continues to be a lucky boy. Hugely talented but hugely troubled.
It has been said that ravel is very grateful for the way in which west ham have stood by him. Well, this appears IMO the ideal time to help repay that faith with the kind of performance we all know he is capable of!
If we play the team and not the occasion we should win quite convincingly. 3-0 irons!
