Ravel “unlikely” to pick up Hammers award

Ravel Morrison is likely to be missing from West Ham United’s end of season dinner and awards at the Grosvenor House in London tonight.

The England under-21 – currently on loan at Queens Park Rangers – is understood to have won the ‘Goal of the Season’ Award as revealed on ClaretandHugh on Monday.

His amazing effort at White Hart Lane earlier in the season shot him to national prominence and was acclaimed as one of the best Premier League goals ever.

But ClaretandHugh has learned that the chances of the midfielder being present at the Grosvenor House to collect his award are ‘very unlikely.

Morrison’s Hammers career has been interrupted by various controversial moments this season.

But he was seen in the dug out at Upton Park last weekend as the Hammers finally secured their Premier League status with a massive third win over Spurs.

However, a well placed source close  told ClaretandHugh exclusively: “It is highly unlikely that Ravel will be at the Grosvenor House for the end of season awards although there’s always the chance of a late change of mind!

“Quite apart from anything else he has a massive play off game at Wigan on Friday and quite rightly all his focus is  on that.”
