Reason Hammers ignored new PL star

|

By Dave Langton

West Ham swerved the opportunity to sign Wout Weghorst in the January transfer window possibly because he is an avowed anti-vaxxer.

The striker has been hugely impressive for Burnley since signing from Wolfsburg and has already scored once and laid on two assists for Sean Dyche’s side.

He bullied Spurs earlier this week as Burnley won 1-0 at Turf Moor, putting a serious dent in Tottenham’s hopes of Champions League qualification.

Weghorst, though, is an anti-vaxxer, who posted COVID-19 disinformation in 2021, and was forced to apologise, per German outlet Kicker.

The Dutchman posted that people may be forced to have the vaccine and, ironically, he actually tested positive for the virus in October.

We reported ahead of the January transfer window that West Ham would not be minded to buy players who were not vaccinated.

Thatlooks to be the main reason why the Hammers were not involved in the bidding to sign Weghorst, who cost Burnley £12m last month.

If this notion is true … then who are the stupids?
Ironically, we have an animal abuser playing for us, and all types of people supporting the team … but oh no … not an anti-vaxxed person – Dont come near us !!!
And, pray tell … what is their crime?
