West Ham remain focused on signing Chelsea striker Armando Broja despite rumours that they have already agreed a deal with Austrian hitman Stuttgart’s giant front man Sasa Kalajdzic.

A story that we had signed the 6ft 7in frontman started doing the rounds yesterday and was immediately denied by the Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg.

The well connected Steinberg tweeted that the news was wide of the mark after claims from Sport BILD journalist Marcel Reif.

Instead the Hammers are refusing to deny interest in the Chelsea man who is reported keen on a move across London to the East end.

He has certainly emerged at the top of a wanted list which also includes Watford’s Emmanuel Dennis as David Moyes appears to be working on creating competition with Mikey Antonio rather than replacing the 32 year old.
