Red tape may wreck Irons move

gabrielbarbosa-cropped_hwobcrqe97ia1j4d9nuc24esvThe Irons fear a move for Inter Milan “wonderkid” Gabriel Barbosa will be ruined by red tape!

The 20-year-old Brazilian forward  is available for loan, just a year after joining Inter from Santos in his homeland in a £26million deal.

However, according to The Mirror his lack of game time since making the switch is the problem which could see the move dead in the water

Barbosa made just one start among 10 appearances last season, scoring once and his three international appearances have not come in the last 12 months.

The Hammers would hand him a temporary spell in the Premier League but are unsure the strict criteria laid down by the Exceptions panel will allow it.

  1. Almost like we’re going for targets we know we can’t get

  2. Never heard of him.

  3. So the media run a story that is in all likelihood utter crap & you deciede we are going for targets we cant get.The bait goes on the hook and someone bites.

  4. So now we want to sign young players when told young players are not up to it .
How old was Rooney ( 16 or 17 ) when he debuted for Everton ? . And there are many like cases that could be highlighted .
Barbosa?? , who is that . Somebody else we have never heard of . Sounds like a Pirate from the Carrabian to me .

  5. I’m sure there’s a Brady Brazilian joke out there somewhere.

  6. 20? Are you sure? He looks 36 if he’s day! Mind you if Emnike was just 28…..

  7. The Brady Barnicle Bunch . Or , Brady’s Barnicles . Talk about Molly Malone !!.

  8. Although it is not likely to happen I would be excited if we pulled this one out of the bag, Barbosa in Brazil was a real handful, so was Callieri it’s fair to say but Barbosa more so and certainly he had the x factor before being transferred to Inter, as everyone says its all paper talk but at least a bit more interesting than most of the other drivel.
