Redknapp: “That’s what fans go to Boleyn to see”

harry-redknapp_1799507cFormer boss Harry Redknapp has described Dimitri Payet as an “absolutely incredible player.”

Redknapp – working as a pundit for BT Sport – couldn’t have been more impressed with the main man’s return against Liverpool.

And reviewing his contribution after he arrived to dance around three or four defenders and set up Chiek Kouyate for a great chance on goal he said: “He’s an amazing, absolutely incredible player – exactly what the West Ham fans want.

“That’s what Hammers fans go to the Boleyn to see. It’s part of what the club is all about.

He also had hgh praise for the manager saying:  “Slaven got it right all afternoon – he picked the right team and brought on precisely the right subs at the right time. He – as everybody watching from West Ham will be delighted.

“Payet makes goals and scores goals. Everybody who supports the club will be so proud as they should be – he’s a fantastic player.”

  1. Of course Harry would know about the Westham Way could he explain it to the other pundits, don’t bother with Hippo he is a lost cause,
Lawerson understands now but won’t admit ,
Known is just going to find out,

  2. If ‘arry was still our manager, Payet and Lanzinl would be on their way to spuds for a combined total of £15 million who in turn would be sold to bigger clubs for a total of £90 million+

  3. He was a very good player for West Ham back in the days of Scissons , Burns etc . But he turned into a Mercanary and his cousins , Lampard & Junior turned into Anti Hero’s .
Not really interested in what Redface has to say .,, just as I’m not really interested in what that Lawrenson has to say .
The West Ham fans know what they like ; and it ain’t you Harry .
We are playing the game in what we consider to be ” our way ” without the walk out on the club that gave you and your relatives the stepping stone to what you think was ok to turn your backs on . Been a West Ham fan far too long for my memory to suddenly evaporate .
Don’t try now to back step . The two Frank’s and you are best forgotten .

    • A bit harsh on Frank senior, he did nothing wrong, he’ll always be a legend to us older supporter’s in my opinion…

    • Kevin if you had any kind of memory you’d know we have Harry to thank for signing Bilic in 1996. Without Harry there would be no Bilic managing our team and no Payet either.
