Liverpool fans reign supreme in the art of the well-placed swear word, according to a new study by The research analysed fan language to determine which Premier League supporter groups used the most profanity.

The analysis revealed that Liverpool supporters swear a staggering 14.80% of the time during matches, placing them firmly at the top of the “most vulgar” fan base list. Following closely behind are Newcastle United fans, contributing 12.67% of the swearing statistics.

We take fourth place in the cussing stakes with a sweary 9.2%  with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal rounding out the top five, showcasing a strong showing from traditional Premier League powerhouses. Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Aston Villa,  and Crystal Palace complete the top ten list.

    I do my fair share of F-ing and jeffing on a daily basis and at the games but it’s sometimes difficult to hear non Fs and Cs around me. I don’t have kids but if I did I’m not sure I would want to take them there.

    I do my fair share of cussing when i’m at the games especially when we are playing s**t which we mostly have this year.
    I don’t hear anyone else swearing around me but that’s maybe because i cannot translate what the tourists are saying!
