Reece is just one of the West Ham lads

burkeHammer Reece Burke queued like any other West Ham away fan at Old Trafford on Sunday.  The 20 year is on loan to Wigan just twenty five miles down the road from Manchester but shunned the VIP treatment to join 3,000 fellow Hammers fans to watch the thrilling 1-1 draw.

This is not the first time the life long West Ham fan has mingled with ordinary fans, on the last day of  the season at the Boleyn Ground against Manchester United Reece was once again braving a packed Green street with the fans. On that occasion he had to persuade security guards who he was to gain entrance to the players car park, allegedly showing them pictures of himself on google on his phone to prove who he was.

Burke is currently on a season long loan at the Latics and has made six apperances so far but firmly committed his future to West Ham before leaving by signing a new four year contract. At the time he told the official website “Obviously as a West Ham fan as well as a player, it’s fantastic to be involved with the Club “

  1. That lad has some class.

  2. The REAL Collins replacement. Gaining experience for next year and way ahead of our other Reece.
