Reid talks on comeback

|

ReidWinston Reid has been unable to give an assurance he will be back for the game against Everton this weekend.

The central defender may of course be careful of giving away any team secrets but questioned on his injury by the official site he said: “Obviously I have been out with an injury for a while now and it has been causing me a bit of grief but I hope to be back out there very soon.”

However, word is that with him back in first team training he’s set to make the squad for the crucial clash against our bogey team.

Reid was not unduly worried by last week’s reverse at Watford saying: To be fair we have not had too many bad performances this season. It was just an off-day against Watford and these things can happen.

“We need to make sure in the next game that we go out and play well.”

And he agreed this is the strongest squad in many years adding: “I think you see that in training every day and everyone makes each other play better.

“Everyone comes in to work hard and be professional. The manager and his team around him have brought that into the Club so it has improved us as players and we are looking to kick on.”

If he is not fit we can use Ogbonna and Tomkins as a central pairing and put Oxford on the bench to cover the back 4 with Kouyate already there for cover
Just please don’t put JOB on the bench,
Song,Oxford,Antonio,Carroll,Valencia ( if Sakho fit )Obiang or Noble,
Not a bad bench with Jelavic,Callum and Samulsun still available if anyone not fit,
We should beat Everton this time if we come out of our coma
