Nottingham Forest might yet prove to be party poopers and keep West Ham in the bottom three until the next round of Premier League fixtures. However, Hammers fans finally have something we have not had for quite some time — hope.
The 1–0 victory at Craven Cottage has not only allowed West Ham to dream that survival in the Premier League is still possible this season, but make no mistake about it, the result will also have caused panic among the teams immediately above us.
For many weeks now, Nuno Espírito Santo has been steadily rebuilding West Ham. As the manager himself made clear during the January transfer window, he only wanted players who were prepared for the fight.
Judging by the performance at Fulham, he has exactly that.
Not everyone played to their full potential at Craven Cottage, but every single player battled for the cause. Effort, organisation and determination were evident throughout the team.
Relegation Race Back On
Whilst our Premier League future remains uncertain, fans can be confident about one thing — this team will keep fighting between now and the end of the season.
There seems to be a renewed spirit among the players and the backroom staff which could prove difficult for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest to replicate.
All three will now know that they are firmly in a relegation battle.
For too long, many of our rivals appeared to assume the relegation race was already settled. That assumption no longer holds true.
West Ham are back in the hunt.
We may not quite have our destiny entirely in our own hands just yet, but if the Hammers continue scoring goals and keeping clean sheets, survival remains very much within reach. ⚒️
The away fans made it known what we all thought about JLo and Potter not so long ago.
Last night was incredible, we showed fight, courage, and the away fans played their part in the unity we now have.
In Nuno we trust! Hope is certainly back Gonzo, I’d even say belief is starting to creep in that we will survive against the odds.
Come on Palace!!!
Forest are improving, unlucky to lose to Liverpool and a point at Man City. We need to attack the top teams and not be beaten before we kick off. Let’s find Man City’s weaknesses instead of trying to defend ours
