West Ham are reported to have made a £16 million transfer bid for Palmeiras midfielder Richard Rios. The Hammers’ pursuit of the Columbian began in June so it is odd to see us linked again.
Tim Steidten has already negotiated with the Brazilian club this summer and have a good relationship following the signing of Lewis Guilherme.
The Hammers have already made significant investments in the midfield area this summer, what with the signings of Guido Rodríguez and hopefully Carlos Soler. Whether the bid for Rios is old rehashed news or a new development hinges largely on any bids being received for Edson Alvarez in the coming hours.
Rios has been labelled by many as ‘the complete midfielder’ and West Ham would be silly to not have alternatives lined up should Alvarez leave. However, the club are growing more bullish about their chances of hanging onto the Mexican midfielder as the transfer window clock ticks down.
Why are youre posts so hard to believe ?????
ALVAREZ IS GOING NOWHERE, WHY DO YOU PERSIST WITH THESE NON-STORIES, IT’S EMBARRASSING
Where is this ‘story’ from please? Nothing online.
Reliable Simon, takes a 3 month old story and turns it into few paragraphs of total BS. The board have said on numerous occasions that Alvarez is going NOWHERE!!
Done, after years of following this site the last 4 months has changed beyond recognition. Click bate adds everywhere, no genuine inside knowledge just a money making web site with no honest desire to support real fans with accurate reports. Shame on you
Looking at the responses so far I’m in agreement in respect of not thinking that Alvarez will be leaving but as one transfer window closes another one opens.
I would love our club to be ready and above all be ready to make an absolute killing profit wise while not dropping in quality.
