Sam Allardyce has James Collins as his priority target in the January window.
According to the Sunderland Echo the 32 year old is the one serious target from Allardyce’s Boleyn days after also being linked with James Tomkins, Carlton Cole and Kevin Nolan.
With Collins out of contract in the summer a deal could be done to see the Hammers loyalist move on for a cut price fee with the Echo reporting that would suit the Black Cats who will be “cautious over shelling out big fees and long-term contracts when their Premier League status remains in such jeopardy.”
However, much will depend on whether Winston Reid is recovered from injury.
Totally right,
If they pay the right price then take the money, love Ginge but he won’t be here next year
And we don’t want another Cole situation
Agree Pennysyl.
We still have Burke, Oxford and Henry, plus Kouyate can always fill in there. He’s been pretty solid his last few outings but I think we would get by just fine without him.
