The Daily Mail is today reporting that Sunday’s game against Manchester city will be Sam Allardyce’s last as West Ham manager.
The Mail has good contacts inside Upton Park which is ClaretandHugh’s sole reason for posting this piece.
The newspaper reports that it understands the decision has been made privately to sack Allardyce following Sunday’s visit to the Etihad Stadium.
It adds that despite keeping the club in the Premier League, a growing contingent of supporters have turned on the manager and that has not gone unnoticed by David Gold and David Sullivan.
The report adds: “The club’s hierarchy will look to appease disgruntled fans by replacing Allardyce after the club’s clash against the champions-elect on Sunday.”
Yep thats the way to do things appease disgruntled fans by sacking him, then we can see who’s out there that they will like (wish you luck on that one boys) and hopefully by July we will have drawn up a list of players available (once/if we have got rid of the dross) and go full stream ahead to sign them by convincing them of the wonderful places we are going once we enter the OS. Sadly most won’t have heard of Doncaster, Halifax and Milton Keynes so take up an offer from Mogadishu Academical’s where at least its sunny.
