Report: Anderson set to receive Summer pay rise

|

West Ham are ready to offer an improved contract to Felipe Anderson to keep him at the club an extra year according to a report by Football Insider

The winger has been recently recalled to the Brazil squad on the back of his form during his debut Hammers campaign and is attracting interest and speculation from leading clubs across Europe.

Sky Sports Italy recently suggested that the Brazilian had handed a transfer request to West Ham and wanted to move back to Lazio, a report strongly denied by club insiders.

Another Sky Sports report in March suggested that Real Madrid could make a summer move for Anderson. This report was equally denied saying there have been no bids or inquires for Anderson and he is not for sale.

Football Insider claims that a club source has told them that West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan is intent on keeping Anderson and fending off rival outfits, who include a Premier League top-six team. Anderson signed a four-year contract when he joined from Lazio last summer for a club-record fee of an initial £36million rising to £46million with add-ons. He is thought to earn at least £100,000 per week on his current package.

Give him a high buyout clause £80m plus, he will be hard to replace, maybe we could buy Zaha who is worse defensively but generally creates more offensively.
