Report: Another Serie A link

West Ham continue to be linked with a potential swoop to sign Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

The midfielder has been with the Serie A club for some time and has made 281 appearances for the Italian club.

He has a contract until 2024 and Gazzetta dello Sport now claims that Napoli are well aware of the interest from the Irons.

However, David Moyes’ side are said to be aware that it will take a major bid to sign the Poland international.

Napoli want over €35m to let Zielinski go, which translates to £29.2m.

The Irons have not yet indicated a willingness to pay such a fee, but they are said to have informed the midfielder that he can receive a bumper pay rise if he moves to the London Stadium.

As a result, Zielinski is said to be thinking seriously about a potential move to the Premier League, as he looks to boost his salary.

  1. I hope we get this one through, he looks like the player we have been missing for a very long time in the centre of the park, someone that can unlock defences creating assists and score goals, last season was poor by his standards so maybe a new club will breathe life into him, he would definitely change the options of how we play and would fill the creative void that someone like a Modric or Xavi normally inhabits.
