MarkoArnautovic_3542583k-large_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqqVzuuqpFlyLIwiB6NTmJwfSVWeZ_vEN7c6bHu2jJnT8The Irons are expected to sign top target Marko Arnautovic for a club record fee over the next few days.

According to long term Standard Sport reporter and lifelong Hammers fan Ken Dyer, a £23 million deal for the 28-year-old Austrian international has been agreed and the player himself has settled personal terms.

Stoke were keen to clear £20 million under the terms of a contract signed by the player when he joined them from Werder Bremen who themselves will receive 20 per cent of the transfer fee.

Arnautovic is now expected to undergo a medicalgiven that he injured his knee in the opening pre season friendly before joining  the Hammers squad at their training camp in Austria.

Bilic emphasised the need for striking reinforcements following the 0-0 draw with Sturm Graz last night when he said: “We should have scored five or six goals but to be fair we are not scoring in training so it was the same in the game.”

  1. Quite worrying that Bilic says the players don’t score much in training, surely they have shooting practice to improve their technique, last season I was amazed at how many times we shot and hit the ball over or wide, it’s just technique not difficult to correct, keeping the ball under the bar then it is just a question of getting it in between the sticks. There are a lot of rumours this week that Feghouli has agreed a deal with Galatasaray and will be on his way shortly also, judging by Snodgrass’ form and the fact that Feghouli can at least hit the target a bit of further concern, surely we can offload Snoddy to the Turks instead of Feghouli either that or too Rangers who seem fairly desperate for reinforcements.

    • I would rather keep Feghouli than Snod but looks like we will sell both only problem there is no back up for RW really as not Ayews stromga spot.
But Feghouli is a good player and has a good attitude prefer him over Snod.
And training is a big Issue Bilic apparently is to soft in training. With it coming out a number of times and twice now with Ox’s loans for Reading now Gladbach

  2. Personally the quicker feghouli gets on his way the better , get Arnie on board and offer ayew back to Swansea and 30 mill and sign Sigurdson , show Snodgrass the door and tell cresswell to buck up or move on as well, fletcher can go as well, to rely on lanzini as our only creative midfielder is crazy , get him injured and we have no creativity, unless quality comes in we will be be playing catch up again, zaba seems confident that the injured players will be fit for the start v mancs ? Unless they feature against werder Bremen they will not be match fit and to risk them will be suicide . Reid , Antonio , kouyate , sakho , need to play soon , if not the first 3 games are going to be scary 🙂 the pea and Arnie need to be on board asap,

    • Of that happened I would love it. But I so like Ayew but should have bought Gylfi last summer not Ayew to please Payet. Now it will be very hard to get Gylfi
And better hope is Injury was a dakw bc I’d they buy Arnie with a bad new be daft but I can see them doing it
