Bilic anger…”Payet wants to leave”

|

payetcitySlaven Bilic has revealed this morning that Dimitri Payet wants out of the club.

He gave the news in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Crystal Palace match saying:  ‘Let’s get serious. I have a situation with a player. It is Dimitri Payet. He wants to leave.’

The manager said the midfielder is refusing to play for the club and added: “This team, the staff, we gave him everything.

“We were always there for him, I feel let down by him… I feel angry.

“We have said we don’t want to sell our best players but Dimi Payet does not want to play for us. We are not going to sell him.

“I spoke to the Chairman and this is not a money issue. We gave him a long contract because we want him to stay.”

He’s said the same thing at the less conference. Get rid for as much as possible.

  • GW says:

Tell him to do one then! Pretty simple really 🙂

  • Roman says:

Yes flog him off to the highest bidder.
    Enough of the moody Frenchman.

  • danielson79 says:

Lets be honest, west ham was always a stepping stone for him. He put in the best season of his life last season to get back into the france squad and I believe in his mind he thought by the end of last summer he would be snapped up. It didnt happen and he has acted like a spoilt brat ever since. Two points here…

Maybe we were lucky to get him during his 1 good season that most players enjoy. If he was so good why did PSG not notice him for all those years he was playing in the same league as them until now?

When he joined I among many said yeah hes amazing, but in 2 or 3 seasons Lanzini will be a much better player.

Ultimately though, he was probably sold the same story as all of us. This season we will do this and next season we will get you a top striker and you can be the man to spearhead our success bla bla bla.

If Bilic should feel let down it should be by the board cos if they’d have done as they promised, maybe just maybe we could have convinced him that this was worth fighting for.

He wasn’t noticed before because he was so inconsistant. Arsene Wenger said that in the summer.

The West Ham soap opera rolls on….seems there is always something and I was beginning to look forward to the game on Saturday. As someone else has said time for the other lads to show we don’t need him.

If true then let him go.Its simple isnt it.No player is bigger than the club.He goes & we move on.In a few years time he will be consigned to our history & we will have other players to enjoy watching.
I never do adulation for players because its pointless, they only naff off or disappoint you in the end by moving to Chelski or The Spuds 😂😂

    • bashammer11 says:

      Agree with you100% radai.

I just hope that if he is playing on saturday, that the announcer doesn’t emphasis his name like he usually does when he is announcing the squad and we don’t sing that payet song.
I admire bilic for what he has said but what is the point now of keeping him now as payets heart won’t be in it..
As you said no one is bigger than the club.

It’s no surprise, after the way he has been chugging along in 3rd gear all season.
I always thought that the interest ( and failure ) of PSG in the summer would leave something smouldering.
wether he stays in Jan or goes in the Summer, is not now the question. It’s who can replace him within the squad, assuming we won’t be so lucky in the market any time soon.
For me we could do worse than try out Fernandes and Quino in that advanced position. Both are outstanding prospects. Both have been used as holding players / central midfield. Both can also play the playmaker roll further forward.
Fernandes has the best passing record at the club, and can turn his hand to anything. A potential top class player.
Quino has only shone at U23 level, but he looks so good that I’m sure he can make the jump up to Prem football very soon.

Last season we were told the tean was being built around payet, all went well. Look whats happened this season? We look lost and he clearly hasnt had the heart since he came back from the euros and it shows through the whole team. Shame on him. Get rid for a silly price and move on. Classic ego problems taking him from a hero to zero. Hes been a passenger mostly all season & id rather not see him in claret & blue again if thats what it takes to get a bit of heart & self belief back in the team. He’s not all of our problems but he’s become a pivotal one. I dont think he understands – we don’t need Payet!

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

It should never be a surprise he throws a moody he has history at other clubs.Dont get me wrong to have him playing for us has been brilliant to watch, more last season than this clearly. But some of his performances last year were brilliant.
But i never got in to all the ‘Its a love affair between me & the fans’ because i knew the little chubby frog would throw one eventually. That aint hindsight, its fact based on his previous antics at other clubs 😁😁

What a sad state we are in, no comments from either of the two Jokers the owner’s yet! What has gone wrong, we are at a all time low, both on and off the pitch, we seem to be looked at more of a joke club than ever. This is a fine way as we go into this weekend’s game.

We once had a great media department, email after the weekend, now all we seem to get are email’s like this week “70% off in the club shop” and the media laughed at us, is that the players? one regional paper with the Payet news this morning said, will West Ham take offers at the derisory level they can in for players, say “1.5 million!

No club can be run by two owners, who take to media with some questionable comments constantly, be it Twitter, media or the programme column

Something needs to be done drastic, who will want to join us in any position? but as I have said many times in nearly 50 years now a loyal supporter, owners, managers and players will come and go, but We will always be here for Our Club!,

  • John says:

First thought is I hope it’s a made up story? Or someone has hacked Slavens Twitter. I don’t want to slag off Payet until I know. But if it’s true I’d be very annoyed at him. We made him the player he is. And don’t go blaming the club or the owners, his attitude has been bad since he come back from the World Cup. The club has given him everything he wanted. If he goes then £50M minimum.

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Mind you before everyone rips him a new one we dont even know this has all actually happened 😁

  • IronMan says:

Is this kosher? You get a bit jaundiced and sceptical over time with The Daily Mail bleating into your ear and Trump getting elected, for God’s sake… If it is, why is Billic doing his/our dirty laundry in public? How are we, as fans, supposed to react to Payet now? If it is true he shoudl never be allowed to play for the club again. We do not need players that don’t want to play for us. End of. Previous posts are correct and no player is bigger than the club. What has Payet actually done for us, also? I think we have done more for him. Leaves a very nasty taste in the mouth. Get rid of him and alll and every other weed in the garden. We don’t need them or their poison.

  • John says:

I mean come back from the Euros of course!

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Am i cracking up or has the writing in the article changed.I thought it was all about some geez called Kelvin tweeting or something now it is factual from slavs presser. 😁

  • essexclarets says:

Ungrateful ####, his career was going nowhere fast before he came to us. Now he thinks he’s billy big ******** & too good to play for us. We took him to heart & showed him we supporters loved him, may be if he stopped sulking during the games he would help lift the team. Make him sit on his backside until the summer & ban him from the training ground altogether.
We got Payet, Dimitri Payet, I just don’t think you understand, you were super slav’s man, you think you’re better than zidane, **** off Dimitri Payet!!!!

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Football players in the main these days are a type of mercenary. To call them mercenaires is probably unfair but some will follow the cash.Look at the ones going to China.
The loyal player who stays a career at a club through love of it are far & few between.Tbh i never have an issue with a player wanting to better himself at a bigger club or want to go to play at the highest level.
What p*sses me off is the way some go about getting the moves 😬😬😬

  • Melbourne Hammer says:

I could see this coming after his reaction to Ashley Fletcher scoring his first goal. Very disappointing after we turned his career around! My favorite kit from last season is now stained with his name..

    • essexclarets says:

He did well last season so we can enjoy what he gave us. This season he has been a shadow of that, surely if he put in as much effort this season he would look more attractive to other bigger clubs.

  • Xamerican_hammerX says:

In a perverse way, I hope this is true. His body language says it all – if he doesn’t want to be here then ship him out and get on with it. Was great watching him last year, but it’s clearly not the same and I’d rather invest my time, energy, money, heart, soul into players that want to be here. And before you ask, yes I am prepared for the outcome. If we were that reliant upon one player to avoid relegation…well then we reap what we sow…at least the board does.

  • sleepswithdafishes says:

when he goes I’m sure the club will be good enough to sell only outside the Prem

  • Frenchie says:

Get rid of him now, but only to Europe or China. Waiting till the summer means he will be that much older. Take the money and invest in British players who know our league’s.

  • Richie says:

Probably shouldn’t have put him in such a pedestal after one great season. I never thought it was the right thing to put a shirt up in the stadium with his name on it. Other players had built their ‘west ham’ legend status over years and years of hard work.

There are so many issues in the changing room. If we don’t beat Palace at the weekend I think we need to sell Payet and change the manager. Things are not right and I don’t think Billic can get things back.

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

It has shown in his performances, it is a shame the club should fine him two weeks wages and accept his transfer request, that way they can sell him to the highest bidder or not sell him if the money isn’t right and keep him transfer listed until the summer, if he screws up keep fining him to mitigate his wages. I think when the window closes he will probably want to start playing again by keeping him on the transfer list you would think he would train hard to get himself as fit as possible for any medical he might have. He has obviously been tapped up so wait now for the bids to come in. One thing the David’s need to do now is make some signings very good ones because either now or at the end of the season Payet will be gone and we need quality, Offer market prices instead of poundshop prices. If we get some decent signings in it will help lift the team.

    • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

He got tapped up in the summer i expect 32,that is why he has been coasting for us.I bet he knew come Jan he would be offski 😁

  • hammerdale22 says:

Why sell him – Lets make a stand and make him rot in the reserves, Mercenary’s should be made examples of, this Judas has just signed a new improved contract and now he wants to leave, his taking the **** out of us Fans- Whack him the U18 – No player is bigger than West Ham United – in 2 years he will be passed it anyway, make him suffer !!!

  • HammerJeff says:

Isn’t his name on one of those big shirts hanging at the ground? legend…. I thought it was a bit premature after one season… can’t say I’m surprised as he has history of this and he certainly ain’t bigger than the club! Thanks for last year’s memories now au revoir!
