Report: Cabaye fancies Hammers switch

|

yohan-cabaye-454693New reports are circulating this evening that Yohan Cabaye is keen on a move to Upton Park.

According to Le Parisien the former Newcastle United midfielder  Cabaye fanices a move to east London rather than south where his former Toon boss Alan Pardew is believed to be closing in on him.

The French publication claims that the former Newcastle star wants to leave Paris St Germain  – which is well known – but that his preferred destination is the Boleyn.

The ‘paper reveales that Palace have made a bid of €14 million (£9.9m) for Cabaye, but that the midfielder is still hoping the Hammers will move in.

Great news if it’s true. Cabaye has the pace that Downing doesn’t possess.I remember Downing not long ago singing the praises of the hippo.Yes get him before the spuds put their noses in the trough.

And what a change in a year, last year linked with Wickam,Cattermole and Cleverley this year Cabaye and others with ability…..Down to a transfer policy change or simply a manager that a player wants to play for ?I think the answer is pretty simple…

Yes, I agree with you. Cabaye in, Downing out. He would be a great purchase… 😉

  • GW says:

So it’s pretty simple bye Downing hello Cabaye, the maths are pretty simple sell for 8 million by for 10 million if only we could entice the bar codes into a move for the walking advert for the NHS and anyone to take captain no legs we will be laughing, yes we need squad depth but depth with ability not any passengers

I like Downing in his new position of last season, but Its a perfect match. Cabaye is a better player, younger, and will only cost 4 mil because Downing will get us at least 6 mil.

Everyone is saying we are mad to sell Downing but aint factoring in that he might want to go back to boro. They appear to want to offer him a great deal with possible coaching duties at some point if reports are to be believed. So before these dont sell Downing ‘he is invaluable to us’ cabbages have a breakdown maybe they need to consider it might be both the club & Downing interested in this offer 😉

  • sleepswithdafishes says:

bolted on … Downing out Cabaye in … just what the doctor ordered

  • Stingray Stewart says:

Downing out,Cabaye in.Would do me nicely, but not the ‘Downing is vitual to us’ crew.Im sure they would be blubbing into their shandies 😀

  • Dainon16 says:

Simple enough choice really a south of the river slum club with a limited WAG chasing manager or the magnificent academy of football with it’s dashing supreme commander.
The above comment is in no way biased or blinkered lol

  • bubs says:

He is a bargain at £10 million and if it’s true wanting to play for us is a bonus,
He really wants to impress to get in the French team,
No brainer sign him now if need be sell someone to make room and gat some money for the deal,
