Report: Carroll to miss Sunderland

carrollAndy Carroll looks to be a certain absentee from tomorrow’s game at Sunderland – according to www.kumb.com.

The 26-year-old striker is reported by the site to have not  flown to the North East having failed to recover completely from a knock, despite training with the fitness coaches yesterday.

Co charman Daid Gold had tweeted this morning: “Andy Carroll picked up a minor injury but should be available for Saturday. dg ”

However KUMB report that Winston Reid has travelled and could make the match despite pulling up with a hip injury in training this week.

  1. What a surprise, not, lol,he looked injured last week & he had only been on a matter of minutes. He is shot away. One thing after another. If he plays 15 games this season i will be amazed 😉

    • Good to see you are in trouble on Wetpants Till Im Dry again P45.Really shouldnt doubt Allardyces Legend status at Sunderland, lmao.Bad lad!

      • Hahaha,i know,i think i am a marked man these days from one or two on there.I blame Banjo.I have been found guilty by association to the Bellend, haha.I can live with that, lol 😀

        • Youre screwed mate, once you are in The Dove Of Peaces bad books thats it the little poodles start snapping at your heels as well.Seen it all before. You better write your last will & testament, lol

          • With all due respect Tone, you’re talking bollox. P45 isn’t in my ‘bad books’ as you put it. We had a good relationship online and often shared a laugh, he even had a nickname for me, which I found funny. Since the Banjo debacle P45 has chosen to ignore me, so it’s actually me who’s in his ‘bad books’ for reasons known only to him. His run in with Dan today had absolutely zero to do with me, so I’d appreciate it if you stopped dragging my name into your inanities. Dan is a nice bloke but I’m fairly sure he doesn’t give a flying f**k who I have or haven’t fallen out with and wouldn’t base his comments to P45 on anything to do with me. I’m also not sure why you choose to ridicule me and call me names for holding out the hand of friendship. It’s your prerogative I suppose but I find it very strange when we’re both West Ham fans and I’ve never had any form of interaction with you or abused you in any way. How would you feel if I started bad mouthing you on WHTID when we’d never even conversed?

I expect I’ll get another load of abuse now from people I don’t know and who don’t know me.

          • Haha, bloody hell Iron Drawers,no one is in my ‘bad books’,i dont actually even own a ‘bad book’,lol,i simply decieded to take a step back from Banjogate & aint been about as much on there or here recently anyway. If i had something to say i would say it,not sulk, lol.I went away last thursday & came back tuesday night.I have better things to do in life than hold grudges against people on football blogs, lol, lighten up & shake it loose Liddy 😉
I still maintain choosing Allardyce was a sh#t idea though for a Sunderland v West Ham preview 😀

          • Glad to hear it P45, now there’s absolutely no reason for us not to talk to each other and you can resume calling me Iron Drawers. I’ve missed her 😉 lol

Contrary to popular opinion on here I don’t own any s*dding ‘bad books’ either.

And you know that I agree with you that SA being the focus of the match preview was a bad idea! I said so and then plastered the bl**dy thread with photos of the lovely Sir Trev to take the nasty taste away?!!

          • Lol,honestly Lids,i just aint been on sites much recently.I have been busy,i have time to read an article, leave a dopey comment then vanish again, lol,it really aint nothing personal so dont think it is.I make it a rule not to fall out with pretty blondes anyway 😀

          • Ha ha flattery will get you everywhere! 😉

I’ve just been away for a week too, up a mountain in Spain, and I didn’t look at a football website for a whole week. My vow to spend less time online when I came home soon fell by the wayside, West Ham websites are highly addictive :-/

  2. Did they not get his visa in time, who is going to do the translation now,
Never mind Sakho was always going to start and now Jelavic can sub,
Makes filling the bench easy and no more talk about changing our style for superstar

  3. Umm – delicate little flower ain’t he – what is it this time? Chipped nail or has he swallowed his hair band!

  4. Would have been ridiculous to even consider changing the style or team for tomorrow just to get Carroll in.Sakho starts when available!

  5. Congratulations on Carroll for signing this massive deal which continues to give him generous wages and two warm meals every day for hardly anything in return on the pitch.
Thing is: We cannot sell him and we will have to eventually pay him off to get him off the books. Unlike the Nolan solution of course the Carroll payoff will be huge, considering the long term nature of the deal and the wages involved.

I have to laugh if I read about people saying Carroll can only play one way (going into every challenge full pelt as if it was the 93rd minute of the World Cup Final) and everyone wanted him to play exactly that way as it is just the way he plays.
Well. if that way of playing results in him being crocked for the majority of the season and only being able to play five games or so all season, then what’s the point ?

Maybe Carroll should be told not to jump anymore if every jump causes another injury.
His physical presence is frightening enough for defenders as it is.
If he’s unwilling to change his playing style we shouldn’t really bother with him anymore.

  6. This fella is earning about 12k a day.Incredible,it makes me want to cry, lol.I mean good luck to him but it still makes me want to cry when i think what we as supporters & a club are getting for it 😉

  7. It’s laughable the way we have protected him after his lengthy injury spell, not rushed him back and still he’s not able to play a 20 minute cameo without getting injured again.
This is beyond embarrassing and ridiculous now. This will go down in West Ham folklore as the most expensive mistake ever signed for this club – and we have a bit of competition in that category…

  8. £85k a week, six year contract that runs until June 2019 i believe. We cant even pay him off,it will bamkrupt us,lol.Ok now im really crying 😉

  9. I will really cheer you up then Slim. His six year contract at 85k a week works out at 26m we will pay him, plus the transfer fee at 15m.The club is going to pay out 41m for Carroll in total if he is to see his contract through till the end.Grab a bigger box of tissues Jim,haha 😀
