Report: Chelsea keen on Rice alternative

|

Chelsea  – having been put off big time by West Ham’s £150 million valuation of Declan Rice – are eyeing up an alternative in PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Sangare.

The message seems to be finally getting through that there is no market for Declan this summer with Chelsea looking elsewhere and Manchester City making striker Erland Halling their priority on mega £300k a week plus wages.

And such are  Manchester United’s issues that is not a club Dec will want to entertain as things stand having come to an amicable agreement with the Hammers that he will stay at the club for a further season anyway.

Chelsea has always been the most widely touted club anyway but according to the Mirror they have Sangare on their radar and need new defenders with one or two coming out opf contract this year.

The Daily Mirror, says the Blues are not willing to meet the Hammers’ staggering £150million demands to take Rice back to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Chelsea are eyeing PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Sangare as Declan Rice's alternative

As a result they have turned their attention to other attractive and cheaper options, such as Sangare who has impressed in the Eredivisie and Europa Conference League this season.

It’s claimed  PSV would be willing to let him go for £30m.

The Ivory Coast international has previously confirmed that it would be a “dream” to move to the Premier League.
