Report: Competition for Worrall

|

West Ham face serious competition to sign Joe Worrall from Nottingham Forest this summer.

The Sun reports that there is interest in the central defender from Leicester, with boss Brendan Rodgers keen to secure his signature.

The Hammers have long held an interest in securing the signature of the defender, and have sent scouts to check on him throughout the season.

David Moyes, of course, has history of scooping up big talents from the Championship and is desperate to bring in a new centre-back when the transfer window opens.

However, the Foxes are now lining up a potential bid to bring in some real depth to the defence, which is also a priority for Rodgers at the King Power Stadium.

Forest actually beat Sheffield United 2-1 yesterday to put a foot into the play-off final, and Worrall is expected to stay at the club if they secure promotion to the Premier League.
