Everton have rejected a bid in the region of £6million from West Ham for midfielder Kevin Mirallas according to Belgium media outlet HLN.
The Hammers are in the market for a new winger to replace Stewart Downing and the Belgium international has been strongly linked with the Irons in recent days.
We’re getting another bid ready according to the telegraph. As much as I’d love us to sign him because he is a class act – if we spend 6/7+ on a winger, what does that leave for a striker? Which is the main priority, everyone disagreed with me when I said we had play makers but we do. We didn’t lack opportunitys last season we lacked putting the ball in the back of the net, simple, I can see us having a banging midfield next season but not a lot of options upfront. Sakho is 1st choice regardless, Valencia still to hit and miss, Carroll is a liability, Lee needs a chance to get up to prem standard and I’m not even going to talk about Maiga. Still never mind Adebayour is available for £4m lol
Up to him now to push the move through, last year he wanted to move and we were linked with him then,if he is not going to sign a new contract and makes it clear they will sell
But any time now the Spuds will come in for him,
I think they’ve found the replacement he just hasn’t signed yet. Blimey with an answer like that I could get a job in WHs media dept,it’d stop all those PR disasters lol
I thought that DG said last week that Stewart Downing wouldn’t be allowed to leave until a replacement was found??
plenty of time left in the window, if hes in the last year of his contract (which I believe he is) thats a good offer. I think they will accept that same amount when the windows closing … or half that at the winter window
