Report: Hammer set for PL stay

Defender Ryan Fredericks is set to move to Bournemouth on a free transfer once he exits West Ham, The Sun reports.

The right-back is poised to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the month.

And Scott Parker’s side are closing in on a deal to keep him in the top-flight after their promotion from the Championship.

He is said to have undergone his medical with the south coast club and he will aim to help them avoid relegation back to the second-tier.

Fredericks actually played alongside Parker when they were at Fulham, from whom he moved to the Irons.

He has routinely struggled for minutes at the London Stadium but is now set to make a move that will keep him in the top-flight.

Southampton and Fulham were said to be interested in signing Fredericks but it appears that Bournemouth have managed to beat them to the punch.
