West Ham are ready to offer Marcus Browne a new contract claims a report in the Daily Mail. Browne scored four goals against Everton youngsters on Monday night in front of watching scouts from RB Leipzig, Leverkusen, Napoli and Sevilla.
The Mail claim West Ham insiders believe the 20-year-old, rated at £5million, can make the step up to senior level and want to see him progress next season. The Hammers are set to offer Declan Rice a 100% pay rise in the Summer in return for committing his long-term future to West Ham, the defender who has recently cemented his place in the first team is set to earn up to £40,000 per week in a new deal.
Browne will hope he can follow in Rice’s footsteps next season, the 20-year-old Londoner Browne joined the Hammers at the age of 8 and progressed through the academy at the club before signing his first professional contract on 12 November 2015.On 18 August 2016, Browne made his senior debut for West Ham United in a Europa League fixture against Astra Giurgiu. In January 2017 he signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2020.
Hopefully we can win our next 2 games ( Stoke and Arsenal ), then we can give Browne and Pask a run-out in a couple of games. It would be nice to have them in the squad for next season, if they prove good enough. Also of course Holland.
