Report: Hammers again linked with midfielder

West Ham have again been linked with a potential move for Brazilian midfielder Danilo.

Reports first emerged last week linking the Irons with a swoop for the Palmeiras star, along with Arsenal.

A 20-year-old midfielder who can play in defensive or attacking midfield, he has been called up by the Brazil U20 team but has yet to win a cap.

He has made 83 appearances for Palmeiras in his short career thus far and Lance now reports that the Hammers are considering launching a bid for his signature.

The offer could reach around €25m but it isn’t set to be tabled until Palmeiras are willing to negotiate for the player, and there is precious little chance of him moving in January.

They are set to play in the Club World Cup in February and they do not want to see any players leave before the tournament kicks off, so this would have to be one for the summer.

Even still, we have our doubts about David Moyes deciding to target a new central midfielder at this point.
