The Irons may get the chance to land long time target Martin Braithwaite this summer after the Dane made it clear he is set to leave Toulouse in the summer.

Southampton and a number of Bundesliga clubs targeting the international front man who scored 12 goals in all competitions last summer.

The 25-year-old has been linked with the Hammers for a couple of seasons and is definitely on the list of striker the club is looking at.

Speaking to DR Sporten in Denmark Braithwaite said:  “The time to leave Toulouse has come. It will happen this summer.

“The summer is long. I do not know when a decision will fall, but I remain calm.”

The Hammers are understood to have twice bid for the player last summer.

  1. Not overjoyed by this, very much a grade lower than what I’m hoping for.

  2. You ran the same story yesterday. Are things really that quiet?

  3. I’m starting to see why some call this “clickbait”

  4. Squad player, plays out wide as well as through the middle, makes him useful.

  5. Just herd Ian Nacho’s agent say Ian will sign for the Hammers…
