TalkSPORT are reporting that West Ham have entered the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher. Everton are believed to have made a £45million bid to land the England player but the radio station are now claiming that West Ham also want the Newcastle target on loan.

The race for the former Crystal Palace loanee is hotting up with the England star likely to be right in the thick of the action on deadline day. Fabrizio Romano originally broke the news of Everton’s interest following the sale of Anthony Gordon to Newcastle United.

The West Londoners have the option to sell or loan the player out, and it will be up to the Blues, and of course Conor himself, if he chooses to go. Gallagher has gone out on loan before and Chelsea may feel that another short spell away is the best option to increase the value of their home-grown asset.

Whether West Ham manager David Moyes views Gallagher as a viable option is doubtful, but he’d certainly give the squad more potency and goal threat from midfield.
