West Ham are insisting their attempts to engage with fans groups are being rebuffed as plans for another protest ahead of the Burnley game emerged.
The club’s hierarchy wanted a meeting in May but according to The Mail their attempts to arrange one has been snubbed.
A report at https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8093501/West-Ham-fans-plan-new-anti-board-protest-ahead-Burnley-clash.html explains they have also responded to criticism about the election process for their official supporters board by postponing the previously planned meeting and changing the process in a bid to give a wider range of fans a voice.
And it adds that the board have vowed to attend the rearranged meeting, planned for May, and be transparent by answering any questions put to them in a move they also hope will further improve communication between the club and supporters.
However, there has been no agreement from the protest organisers – led by Hammers United – and instead a third protest ahead of the Burnley game is being organised.
Agree legin
Seams a bit like what did the romans ever do for us
I agree with you legin
Its all a bit, what did the romans ever do for us
These fans groups are all up their own jacksies aren’t they. They are not really interested in genuine dialogue with the club. They are by nature destructive and negative thinking not positive and forward thinking. It seems all they are interested in is increasing their numbers so as to force out the owners. They have their fingers on the self destruct button and continue to press it but fortunately it’s not wired up correctly. So far at least.
.The club only want dialogue now because of the protests, they should have been talking when we first moved in the stadium. The OSB wasn’t really working and there wasn’t really any transparency. It seems we as a club have a divided fan base when it comes to the owners but not the team.
If this is true then the “fans groups” would appear to be more interested in getting what they want rather than what may be best for the club and supporters as a whole. That is a disappointment, but in my experience of protest organisations they get caught up in their own enema
The right to protest obscures the reasons to protest and the olive branch is often discarded.
So is the objective of these groups to get a resolution or just get more than the claimed 8,500 at the next demonstration?
