Report: Hammers close to signing left back

West Ham are close to signing Villarreal left-back Pervis Estupinan according to a report from Calcio News 24

It is a strange claim considering the position isn’t considered to be a priority position to fill this summer by David Moyes.

The La Liga club signed him for £15 million from Watford last summer putting him on a seven-year contract.
Born in Esmeraldas, Estupiñán joined LDU Quito’s youth setup in 2011, aged 13 and was promoted to the first team ahead of the 2015 season making his senior debut in 2015.

He was sold to Watford in the Summer of 2016 and immediately loaned to Granada CF.

In 2018, Estupiñán agreed to a one-year loan deal with RCD Mallorca in the second division and the following July he signed a two-year loan deal with CA Osasuna.

This report has come from nowhere and doesn’t add up on the face of it so we are giving a low transfer rating rumour until we hear something more of substance.
